There comes a time where friends become family, negatives become positives and hope becomes reality. You’ll find a way to overcome any obstacle – even the ones that seem simply impossible. You’ll face challenges which will test your strength, your capabilities and your worth but will provide you with the ability to turn disappointment into potential opportunities.
Over the last six months, my life has completely changed. I have faced loss – but gained progress. When I reminisce about how things used to be, I am overwhelmed with a feeling of appreciation for those who have supported, cherished and enabled me to be unapologetically and uniquely myself. To the people who have cared for me – thank you – for you have allowed me to see the light in an otherwise dark tunnel of grief.
It’s almost funny – ironic even to think about the idea that we may not always be in control of our own destiny. It pains me to accept that a small part of our path and our journey may somewhat be already mapped out for us. I do, however think it’s important to believe in the idea that we can chose the direction in which our paths take, the friends we make and the connections we desire to feel.
If the trials and tribulations I’ve overcome throughout the last six months have taught me anything, it’s that living in the moment is one of the most important qualities one could ever embrace. Let fate guide you. Take brief moments to absorb the potential – your potential and make yourself a priority. Take risks for the possibility of light and happiness. I promise you won’t regret it.
Much love,
x
